Okonomiyaki o-konomi-yaki is a Japanese savory pancake containing a variety of ingredients. The name is derived from the word okonomi.

Okonomiyaki is one of the most favored of current viral foods on earth. It’s appreciated by millions daily. It’s simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. Okonomiyaki is something which I have loved my whole life. They’re fine and they look wonderful.

The ingredients needed to make Okonomiyaki:

Instructions to make Okonomiyaki:
  1. Place shredded cabbage and meat into a large bowl (can pre-cook meat, if desired)
  2. Add flour, eggs, and water to the bowl and mix with a whisk until all ingredients form a doughy paste and eggs are well incorporated
  3. Add cooking spray or olive oil to a medium frying pan and heat on the stove on high
  4. Once the pan is hot, lower the heat to medium-high and add a large scoop of the batter to the pan
  5. Let the Okonomiaki cook until the edges begin to look dry, and then flip to cook the other side with a spatula
  6. Make sure both sides/the meat inside are fully cooked before removing from the pan
  7. Add mayonnaise and Okonomiaki sauce on top to taste, and ready to serve!

Okonomiyaki is one of my favorite savory pancake, hands down! 'Okonomi' means 'what you like/want' and 'Yaki' means 'grill/broil'. There are few different styles of Okonomiyaki depending on region. Okonomiyaki is a cabbage pancake covered with Okonomiyaki sauce. Okonomiyaki is found anywhere in Japan, but is big in the Osaka area in western Japan where we are (proudly) from. Okonomiyaki (���D�ݏĂ�) is a popular pan-fried dish that consists of batter and cabbage.
