Get 1.5 tablespoons cornflour. 1 tablespoon salt or pepper
Take 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Prepare 1/2 maggi chicken cube
Prepare 1 cup tomato sauce(add more for extra gravy)
Get 1 tsp white vinegar
Take 3/4 teaspoon sugar
Instructions to make Hot Garlic Chicken (Desi Chinese):
Marinate chicken cubes in one tablespoon salt, pepper, 2 tablespoons soy sauce,1 tablespoon cornflour. Set aside for 30 mins
Shallow fry chicken in one tablespoon oil (dont worry about cooking it through - it will fully cook in the gravy)
In the same pot add one tablespoon of oil. Add garlic, onions, spring onions, green chillies and cube and sauté on medium heat. Once they are no longer raw(dont brown) add tomato sauce, chilli garlic sauce, soy sauce and sugar. Cover until oil slightly separates.
Add cornflour slowly with some hot water, until you reach the desired consistency.
Add chicken and mix well. Cover and cook for 5 mins until the chicken is cooked through.
Garnish with spring onions and serve with steaming hot rice!!
